Proteomics International Set To Manufacture Kidney Disease Testing Device

Is it possible to predict the risk of diabetic kidney disease?

Medical Products manufactured in WA are getting a major boost with a new voucher scheme from WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub.

Five companies have been awarded $450,000 to accelerate projects that require advanced manufacturing. Of these is Proteomics International, an industry leader in proteomics. The company is currently developing PromarkerD, a device to predict the risk of diabetic kidney disease.  It is a simple, low-cost test capable of predicting the onset of DKD in Type 2 diabetic Patients before clinical symptoms appear. With the boost, PI is set to begin manufacturing the product. The boost has also been granted to four other WA based companies and start-ups to develop the manufacturing capabilities of their solutions.
